Man Arrested On Warrant For Attempted Murder

On Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at approximately 10:14 pm, 911 received a call from Elijah Henry stating that his female acquaintance had been shot. Henry also stated to 911 that someone had tried to rob him. See the original press release here.

The victim was brought to the Emergency Room by Henry in her private vehicle. She suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and face, was treated for her injuries and admitted to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital for a follow up.

After further investigation of the incident, an arrest warrant for 28-year-old Elijah Henry was signed and issued by the a Superior Court Magistrate on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

On Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at approximately 7:25 pm., Elijah Henry was located at the Oswald Harris Court and was placed under arrest pursuant to his arrest warrant for the following:

Attempted First Degree Murder, Assault in the First Degree (DV), Assault in the Third Degree (DV), Child Abuse, Mayhem, Use of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence (Attempted Murder), Use of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence (First Degree Assault), Use of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence (Third Degree Assault), Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Firearm with Obliterated Serial No.

Henry was transported to the Richard N. Callwood Command where he was advised of his Constitutional Rights, booked, processed and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advise of Rights.
