Parking Restrictions For The Dominicanos Parade This Sunday February 24, 2019 In Christiansted

The Virgin Islands Police Department wishes to advise the motoring public of the following Parking Restrictions and street closings scheduled for the Dominicanos Parade to be held in the town of Christiansted on Sunday, February 24, 2019.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS

Effective Sunday, February 24, 2019, from 8 am to 5 pm, the following parking restrictions will be in effect to facilitate the First Domincanos Parade:

  • No parking will be permitted on the parade route from Bassin Triangle, King Street Christiansted continuing to Canagata Ball Park.
  • No parking will be permitted on the public street between the Intersection of King and Market street to the intersection of King and Hospital street.
  • Any vehicle found parked in the restricted areas will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense.
  • Owners or drivers finding that his/her vehicle has been towed should contact the Ancilmo Marshall Command at (340) 773-2539 for further information.
VEHICULAR MOVEMENT RESTRICTIONS AND ADVISORY
  • Vehicular traffic traveling into the town will be restricted from entering the parade route.
  • Vehicular traffic will be stopped at or detoured away from the parade route.
  • Vehicular traffic will be permitted to enter streets along the parade route upon the sequential movement, progress, and completion of parade.
  • Drivers are encouraged to excercise good judgement and due caution while traveling in the town during the parade.
