The Virgin Islands Police Department Presents The Do The Right Thing Vehicle Initiative

March 13, 2019

TERRITORIAL, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS - Acting Commissioner Jason K. Marsh has initiated the “Do the Right Thing Vehicle Enforcement Campaign”. Effective immediately, the Virgin Islands Police Department will be increasing enforcement of all unregistered vehicles and/or unlicensed drivers in the territory.

During these random checks, if the motorist has all their documents up to date, which includes a valid driver’s license, the vehicle’s registration, and the vehicles insurance, the operator/owner of said vehicle will be eligible to receive a free ticket to one of the Virgin Islands Carnival Committee’s upcoming events in the St. Thomas District.

Also included in this giveaway is free lunches/dinners from some of St. Thomas and St. Croix fine restaurants.

This initiative will cover the entire territory from March 11, 2019 to May 2019.

Acting Commissioner Jason Marsh and/or his designee will present all prizes personally during those vehicle stops. Acting Commissioner Jason Marsh encourages everyone to “Do the Right Thing”.
