CIB Investigating Late-Night Armed Robbery At Tutu Park

March 15, 2019

On Thursday, March 14, 2019 at approximately 11:31 pm, the 911 Emergency Call Center transmitted that an armed robbery had just occurred at McDonalds in Tutu Park. Immediately, patrol officers to include detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Crime Scene technicians responded.

A preliminary investigation revealed that, after closing, an employee was taking out the garbage through a rear door when he was confronted outside by an unknown individual, dressed in all black wearing a black ski mask. The individual placed a gun to the employee’s head and instructed the employee to keep walking back into the restaurant.

Another individual, also dressed in all black with a black ski mask, followed behind, also with a gun in hand. While inside, the individuals pointed their guns at other employees, demanded their cellphones and removed over two thousand dollars in cash from the cash registers.

The individuals then fled the scene in an unknown direction; none of the employees were hurt during the robbery.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211 or Crime Stoppers VI at 1 (800) 222-TIPS.
