Early Morning Armed Robbery Reported At A Havensight Bar/Restaurant

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas - On Sunday, May 19, 2019, at approximately 4:43 am, Central Dispatch received a call that an armed robbery had just occurred at the Tap and Still located in Havensight.

Patrol officers and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau traveled to the location.

Upon arrival to Tap and Still, contact was made with the victims who stated that, after closing the business, they were outside talking and had to re-enter the business.

While re-entering the business, 2 (two) masked men came from the area of the bar “The Hut”, located at the entrance to Havensight, each with a gun forcing the victims into Tap and Still.

After entering, one victim was forced to the cash registers where the one suspect took approximately $1,000.00 dollars from the cash drawers.

The victim further stated that prior to entering the business, one suspect took approximately $500.00 from him.

Information was also provided that the suspects ran to a vehicle that was in the street waiting for them and fled the area.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
