Shooting at Oswald Harris Court Investigated

ST. THOMAS, USVI – On September 13 at around 2:10 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of multiple shots fired in the Oswald Harris Court housing community, in the vicinity of the basketball court. Officers found an unresponsive Black male who sustained multiple gunshot wounds about his body. Emergency Medical Technicians on the scene concluded the male had no signs of life.

The male was identified by his next of kin as Secori Akeel Elmes, age 31.

Detectives of the Major Crimes Unit are asking anyone with information about this shooting to contact police by calling 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211 extension 5606, or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers USVI at 1 (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
