Couple Wanted for Murder Extradited to St. Croix

St. Croix, USVI - On November 3, 2022, at around 5:00p.m., Polk County Sheriff Department in Florida apprehended Jonathan Rivera and N’zinger Makeda Williams at VIPD Criminal Investigations Bureau’s request after securing an arrest warrant for charging him with Murder in the 1st Degree and her with Accessory after the fact, for her role in helping him get away with murder.

The case is in connection with the July 6, 2022, homicide of 28 years old Jah Marley Christopher Alfred. This homicide occurred on the Williams Delight turf after Mr. Alfred and Mr. Rivera got into a verbal altercation and as a result Mr. Rivera ran down Mr. Alfred and shot him multiple times and he succumbed to his injuries.

Both Mr. Rivera and Ms. Williams signed waivers of extradition and were brought back to the territory on November 22, 2022.

They were both unable to post bond and were subsequently transported and remanded to the John Bell Correctional Facility pending Advised of Rights Hearing. Bail was set at $1,000,000.00 for Mr. Rivera and $500,000.00 for Ms. Williams.
