CIB Investigates a Robbery that Occurred In Crown Mountain

St. Thomas, USVI - On Monday, January 2, 2022, at approximately 5:08 a.m., the Adam Command Officers were dispatched to Roy L. Schneider Hospital in reference to a shooting victim. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim who stated that while walking towards Crown Mountain area, he observed a black Toyota SUV, possibly a RAV-4 with heavily tinted windows approaching him.

The victim stated that without any warning, the passenger of the vehicle got out and began shooting at him with a handgun. The victim then stated that he was struck in the right knee and collapsed to the ground. The victim stated that the passenger got out of the rear passenger seat and was wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt tied across the face, long black polo sleeve shirt and black cargo pants.

The suspect approached the victim and stated, "Give me Everything!". The suspect removed several rings, a necklace, iPhone, diamond earrings, cash, and bracelet. The suspect then got back into the vehicle and left the area.

The victim was later transported to the hospital by a family member for treatment.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
