CIB Detectives Arrest 24-year-old Man at St. Thomas Airport for Gun Possession

St. Thomas, USVI - On Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 4:30 p.m., detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau were advised that officers from US Customs and Border Protection detained a black male with two Glock handguns. Upon the CIB detectives’ arrival, contact was made with US Customs and Border Protection officers, and a black male, later identified as JahMarley Parris, was found to be in possession of two Glock handguns which were found in his luggage.

Mr. Parris was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Criminal Investigation Bureau where he was booked and processed. JahMarley Parris, age 24, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Failure to Declare/Register Firearm. Unable to post his $50,000.00 bail, Mr. Parris was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
