St. John, USVI - On Sunday, March 26, 2023, at about 11:15 a.m., Mr. Jabbar Abdul Gereau, a 50-year-old male, was placed under arrest after the victim, a male, identified him as the person who sexually assaulted him multiple times. The victim stated that Mr. Gereau entered his residence without permission and had sex with him against his will. The victim added that he was in fear for his safety and was unable to defend himself against Mr. Gereau. On Sunday, March 26, 2023, officers of the Leander Jurgen Command located Mr. Gereau in the area of the Emmanuel Baptiste Church and placed him under arrest. Once at the Richard Callwood Command, Mr. Gereau was advised of his rights and placed under arrest for Rape in the First Degree, Burglary in the First Degree, False Imprisonment, Unlawful Sexual Contact in the First Degree, Simple Assault, Harassment and Disturbance of the Peace. No bail was set for Mr. Gereau and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advise of Rights Hearing.
