St. Croix, USVI - On April 23, 2023, at approximately 12:29 a.m. there were multiple ShotSpotter notifications of shots fired in the La Reine area. Shortly thereafter 911 Emergency Call Center reported two gunshot victims at the Governor Juan Francisco Luis Hospital.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives made contact with the victims who stated that they were at Corner Pocket to watch a boxing match on the big screen. When the fight was over, they left the area and just before they got onto the Northside Road entrance of Corner Pocket, their vehicle came under gunfire. They drove straight to the hospital where they received treatment.

Both victims stated that they did not have any issues with anyone while at the establishment. They did not see who fired the shots or know where the shots came from.

Both victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds and are in stable condition at the Juan Francisco Luis Hospital.
