St. John, USVI - On Saturday, July 1, 2023, at approximately 5:34 p.m., a female stated while at Hansen Bay Beach, she was approached by another female, later identified as Ms. Dunia Rodriguez, who began to yell and curse at her. The female was then thrown to the ground by Rodriguez who started to fight the female victim. During the altercation, the victim attempted to defend herself and Rodriguez broke victim’s arm.

On Thursday, August 24, 2023, at approximately 12:00 p.m., 57-year-old, Ms. Dunia Rodriguez turned herself in at the Richard N. Callwood Command. She was advised of her rights, booked, and processed. She was charged with Assault in the Third Degree, Simple Assault, Disturbance of the Peace, and Assault with Bodily Fluid. Her bail was set at $25,000.00.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
