St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On October 6, 2023, at 11:04 p.m. 911 Emergency Call Center notified officers on reports of shots fired and later alerted that there is a male gunshot victim on Queen and King Cross Street, Fredriksted. Upon officers’ arrival on the scene, they found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds about his body. The victim was transported to Juan F. Luis Hospital via ambulance where he was pronounced dead by the Emergency Room physician.

The victim was identified by his next of kin as 43-year-old Elijah Abdula Jackson.

Investigation into this matter revealed that the victim was at a bar when he was approached, by the assailant who shot him multiple times.
