St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On November 19, 2023, at about 11:06 p.m. the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of shots being fired in Frederiksted Town in the vicinity of Rosies Bar.
Responding officers were notified of a gunshot victim in the area. Upon officers’ arrival they observed a black male on the ground, south of the Credit Union building. The male appeared to have multiple gunshots wounds to his upper body. Emergency Medical Service personnel was on scene and found no signs of life.
The deceased was identified by his next of kin as 49-year-old Jemmason Charles.
