St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands - On December 7, 2023, at around 3:04 p.m., VIPD units were dispatched by 911 Emergency Call Center to conduct an inspection of a vehicle being operated recklessly and occupied by three masked men in the area of Judy Gomez Highway, Altona & Welgunst.

It was revealed that the vehicle in question was stolen and was located on Mafolie. The suspects drove the vehicle through a police checkpoint and damaged two vehicles in the process. VIPD units stated via radio "shots fired" in the area of Louisenhoj Castle. Thereafter, 911 received a call reporting that a male with a gunshot wound was located in a yard. Officers detained the suspect, and he was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital for treatment. Moments after another suspect was found and taken to the hospital for treatment. VIPD is currently searching for one more suspect in the Hull Bay Area.
